It feels like the entire world is holding their breath, anxiously awaiting the arrival of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby. But recently, a sign appeared that could indicate the baby is on its way shortly—at least, according to recent speculation. After a man was caught flying his drone over the couple’s home, police have put signs around the property warning the public that it’s illegal to fly drones in the area.
The signs, which are bright yellow with bold, black text, warn that “launching, landing or operating drones or remote controlled aircraft is prohibited in this area.” They’ve been placed all around the perimeters of Windsor’s Home Park, which surrounds Frogmore Cottage. Meghan and Harry moved to Frogmore earlier this year after making a few renovations to the home. Though the couple has been staying at the cottage for some time now, the drone ban was only placed today. Could that mean that the Duchess has gone into labor?!
Honestly, probably not. It turns out that not only was the drone a massive invasion of privacy (the man was allegedly trying to take pictures of the home), but it was also pretty dangerous. According to reports, the drone was seen flying at an estimated 300 meters up (more than 980 feet). The maximum height to legally fly a drone in the area is 121 meters (300 feet). Why is that a problem? The man was flying it through the London Central Zone, a controlled airspace, and in the middle of the Heathrow airport arrivals and departures flight path. So yeah, the drone ban probably has nothing to do with Meghan going into labor.
Still, reports say that today is her due date, so not to worry, the royal baby will be here soon.
